A New Home for Henselite Manufacturing
Henselite has been making and selling lawn bowls in Melbourne since 1918. In 2023, the company made the strategic decision to relocate its bowls manufacturing facility from its home of more than 20 years in Fairfield to Kilsyth in the city’s east. This marked only the third time in the company’s 106-year history that the factory had moved — and the undertaking was significant.
Four NSW State Titles For Dawn Hayman
Team Henselite’s Dawn Hayman has shown again and again why she’s considered one of Australia’s top lawn bowlers. Last week she took out four State titles at the NSW State Lawn Bowls Championships. The impressive list of achievements for the St John’s Park superstar included the mixed pairs with fiancé Thomas Webb, the women’s Pairs with Natasha Russell and Triples with Brianna Smith & Samantha Ferguson as well as the blue ribbon single title which she won after a 25-11 victory over Sarah Boddington. Dawn is the first bowler since 2017 to win 4 state titles.
Henselite and Malaysia Lawn Bowls Federation Sign Significant Agreement
In a significant development for the sport of lawn bowls, Henselite and the Malaysia Lawn Bowls Federation have taken a step in fostering a stronger partnership, culminating in the signing of a commercial Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This MOU builds on Henselite’s strong historical support of lawn bowls within Malaysia particularly within the past 3 decades.
Aron Sherriff – A stand out year in 2022
Aron Sherriff has had an undeniably stellar year in 2022. As he has rolled through the year winning one major Australian title after another, the Broadbeach BC star has treated us all to some brilliant displays of lawn bowls. To top off his achievements, BA recently named him in the Jackaroos squad after a 10 month break from international duty.
